This is the site of the pantometer line at Dunwich. It lies directly below the large burrow on the cliffs. In fact, it continues the line of the footpath, (now closed but showing in the hedge on the cliff-top) from the main street. This point has been used for a survey line to measure the height of the cliffs. This will be an easy site to return to, and will be used to survey how much Dunwich is retreating at this point.

Beach fishing boat and launching rails. This is the most heavily-used part of the beach, being used not only by the fishermen, but next to the busy beach cafe (renowned for its fish and chips) and the closest access to the beach for visitors. Human trampling is evident on the beach and the cliffs nearby.
