An attempt to leave the central
highlands by GC 604, only to discover it became a forest track
at the end of the lake! The valley had, however, been the victim
of the summer fires of, I believe 2007. Among the burned-over
hillside is a house clearly bearing burn marks and now, like
some others I later observed, abandoned. |
