The old concrete roadway displays the angle of rotation of this material.

The mobility of the cliff materials is apparent here, as is the caked appearance of a flow that has dried out somewhat!

A small slump just beginning its gravity ride! Classical rotational slump.

Seaweed and detritus have been washed up on the pavement inland of the sea wall and left as a strand-line.

Opposite the pier row of large terraced houses.

A little to the north of the pier is a family hotel.

From Walton Pier can be seen the northern end of the sea front and then residential property leading to the Naze tower, with beach huts on the shoreline. To the far right is the Mabel Greville breakwater.
